Change will happen when you volunteer in Malawi
In Malawi, the child mortality rate is currently tragically high – simply because only 35% of the country is effectively covered by trained nurses and midwives.
VSO has teamed up with the Royal College of Nursing, the Royal College of Midwives and the Malawian Initiative for National Development (MIND) to launch an innovative new approach to tackling maternal mortality in Malawi. We are now recruiting volunteers for a new project in Malawi to widen maternal healthcare…and more importantly – save young lives.
As part of the new Health Partnership Scheme, funded by the Department for International Development, VSO will send midwives, nurses and IT specialists to Malawi.
Volunteers will spend 1 to 2 years immersed in another culture whilst making large-scale change. Apply now and you could help improve healthcare for thousands of people.
